Christine Westley CV Christine was raised on a farm in the Mallee so many of her formative years were spent in the country. Later in life she lived on a fruit property in the Riverland. For the last 30 years she has had the privilege of living in homes with full river views which has given her a sincere appreciation for nature and her picturesque surroundings. Four years ago Christine decided to participate in some art lessons and since then has developed her own painting style. During this time she has gained equal pleasure painting still life, portraits, land and seascapes. Her ability to compliment the serenity only found in river scenes and the outback can be experienced and appreciated in her artwork. To all who view Christines paintings they are sure to agree that country life and tranquility go hand in hand as a brush to canvas. The variety of subject matter in her paintings is due to the varied Australian landscape experienced in her numerous travels. The different colours and scenes of each area add to the excitement and stimulation for her as an artist. Due to this she never tires of painting Australia. There is something different to capture each time. Christine's paintings have also been featured in Australian Artist magazine.
