Suzanne McDonald Watts CV Suzanne McDonald Watts has always dabbled with art in various forms from her childhood days in Murray Bridge. After moving to Adelaide she undertook Oil portraiture with Ingrid Erns, life drawing, gouache and watercolour with Ruth Tuck. In 1984 she was introduced to Pat Brooks at Hubbe Court, Burnside and this was a beginning of a wonderful journey in clay sculpture. For Suzanne, this has been an adventure that will never end because there is so much to explore with clay, from its forgiving nature, its flexibility in expressing emotion and the pleasure of creating by hand. After many years of experience, Suzanne thrills to the challenge of transferring ideas and thoughts into a physical piece of sculpture. She is fascinated with the human face of all the tribes of the world, and delights in our unique Australian fauna. She now confidently interprets all these subjects and will never run out of challenges to transform a lump of clay into a visual delight.
