Wendy-Jane Sheppard CV

Wendy-Jane Sheppard was born and raised on a farm in the Adelaide Hills Township of Bradbury. From an early age she enjoyed drawing and painting and excelled in them at High school. Throughout her art training and during her early career Wendy-Jane sought new techniques to fulfill her desire to express herself through her art in a distinctive and personal style. This has resulted in a personal style that involves the use of bright colour applied in layers which creates texture and interacts with previous layers and with the liberal use of bold colours and brush strokes, the essence of a scene is captured to entice the viewer to take an interesting and exciting journey.

Wendy-Jane's impressionist style presents a memorable vision of her subjects, which are Australian landscapes including South Australian scenes of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and the South Australian coast. Wendy-Jane exhibits regularly in solo and group exhibitions in South Australia and Victoria. She has gained wide recognition with the presentation of many prominent art awards including being elected as a fellow in the prestigious Royal South Australian Society of Arts as well as a period as President.
