Candice McMullan exploded on to the arts scene in October 2003 and has been extremely busy filling commission orders ever since her first exhibition at Artistic License Gallery & Studio. Candice is thankful that her friends and family have encouraged and stimulated her to put brush to canvas. She is constantly inspired by the beauty and uniqueness in nature. She has endeavoured to capture a glimpse of its brilliance and purity in an expression of contemporary composition. Candice’s paintings are now hanging in Adelaide, country S.A. and interstate. The bold colours and incredible talent that she has discovered have caused many an appreciative comment and the large, bold canvas paintings grace homes and businesses alike.

Although Candice was born in Australia she was exposed to the diversity of culture, music & arts in India for some time when her parents were missionaries there. She also has spent some time in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands on a mission team. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation of the beauty, freedom and unique qualities we all have. She encourages others to explore and develop their artistic talents and to appreciate nature. The passion for painting has been bubbling within her since childhood and she now tries to balance painting with a hectic family life. The support of those closest to her is constantly appreciated. Candice feels that everyone has seasons of bleakness, doubts, fears and simply wondering why we are here, but she truly believes that His wisdom has equipped us with all the diversities of talents (as grand or simple as they may be) to shine. We are given continual opportunities to express and develop them. If you are in doubt and wonder what life possibly could hold for you, do what Candice does and….consider the lillies.
