Paul Ford CV Paul Ford was born in Woking England in 1928. His father was a cine' photographer and his mother an actress doubling for many of the stars of the fledgling British film industry. He won his first art prize at the age of five in a poster competition, and over time continued to acquire skill in understanding and interpreting the complexities of composition and perspective. Over the ensuing years, Paul continued a close association with various art groups, with whom he enjoyed the artistic freedom to further develop his natural ability to express, on a surrealistic level, his view of the world. In the early 1960's, Paul spent five years in Southern Spain, away from the rat race, painting professionally. Since 1967 until the present time, Paul has sold works through numerous Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and London art galleries, and to private patrons in Spain and the USA. Paul believes his broad spectrum of human experience has equipped him with an essential element - that of being able, in his work, to easily sidestep reality. Paul is currently working from his studio in Adelaide, from where he endeavours to maintain an output of controversial and unique works compatible with the intellectual recognition of the now much sought after surrealist genre.
