Julie Emery CV

Julie Emery grew up in country South Australia before moving to Adelaide to further her education and gain employment. She studied under numerous art teachers including Liz Gartner, Lyn Robins, Arthur Phillips, Marjorie Hann and Pat Brooks (sculpture). She attended the North Adelaide School of Art to broaden her art experience and further her education. .

She enjoys the freedom of hand sculpturing and bold designs on ceramics, but her main interest is painting. Her paintings have been displayed and sold in a number of different locations in South Australia. Her love for travel and the outdoors and a desire to capture those interests on canvas is captured in creative and boldly colourful ways. Julie has always wanted to open an Art Gallery to promote local talented artists and provide a positive environment for local and overseas people to view and acquire good quality art works in Adelaide. The establishment of the Artistic License Gallery and Studio fulfills that ambition and is an exciting location in the art scene in Adelaide.
