Grace Delaney CV

Grace was born in England into a family with a painting heritage as both her father and grandmother were accomplished artists. After being raised in New Zealand, she moved to Australia in 1972 and traveled extensively throughout outback NSW, first developing a love for the harsh, but colourful landscape. Although she had always dabbled with painting, Grace did not undertake any formal training until the early 1990's. Following her art/design course, Grace began painting seriously in the mid 1990's with her daughter-in-law. Living in Burra, she used the local area including the saltbush plains and her vivid memories of the outback NSW ("back of Bourke") to develop her outback concepts and impressionistic paintings. She has also developed an unique abstract style combining structures and shapes in contemporary colours predominately in oil on canvas.
